Jan Bieleman en agrarische geschiedenis – elke biografie is een beschrijving van de omgeving (Jan Bieleman and agricultural history – each biography is about relations)
On the 6h of October 2021 I gave a lecture on the role of Jan Bieleman in agricultural history at a meeting of the VLG (Dutch society for Rural History). Jan, who had worked almost his whole life at the Department of Rural History as it was called from 1956 to 2012, had died in June of that year. The Society had organized this meeting in Jans place of birth, Heino, to honour him. I publish the text here as it was read at the time. For real publication it still would need some elaboration.
